About Freddy Adu
Freddy Adu is a professional soccer player who has played for a variety of professional teams as well as competing for the United States national team. Early in his career, Adu was considered a top prospect, training with the United States Olympic team and signing with D.C. United of the MLS in 2004. Later that season, Adu helped United win the MLS Cup, appearing in 87 games with the team and scoring 24 goals. For the next few years, Adu would play for various clubs in the MLS as well as in other countries along with competing for the United States starting in 2006. With the United States, Adu has played in many international tournaments. In 2014, Adu signed with Serbian club FK Jagodina, playing with the team for half a season before he was cut in December.
