About Hanley Ramirez
Hanley Ramirez is a three-time MLB All-Star. Ramirez made his debut with the Boston Red Sox in 2005, but was traded to the Florida Marlins in the Josh Beckett trade that offseason. Ramirez earned the starting shortstop job with the Marlins for the 2006 season, and quickly became a fan favorite after leading all rookies with 185 hits, 119 runs, 11 triples and 51 stolen bases. This performance earned him NL Rookie of the Year honors, and he became one of the league’s top shortstops with Florida. In 2011, Ramirez started to decline, as injuries hampered his season and his fielding percentage went down. Halfway through the 2012 season, Ramirez was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, where more injuries would limit him throughout his time in LA. After the 2014 season, Ramirez’s contract with the Dodgers was up, and he signed a free agent deal with the Boston Red Sox.
