Heath Pearce

Heath Pearce is a former professional soccer player. Pearce started playing soccer in high school, and he transitioned to playing collegiately at the University of Portland where he was an All-West Coast honorable mention. During his time at Portland, Pearce also played for the Bradenton Academics in the USL Premier Development League, and he developed this experience into a professional contract in Denmark in 2004. Pearce then went to Germany to play, and eventually signed with FC Dallas of the MLS after a failed move to Turkey. His time at FC Dallas would be great, as he led the team to the 2010 MLS Cup Finals, but he was traded to Chivas USA in 2011. One year later, Pearce was traded to the New York Red Bulls, and he scored his first career MLS goal later that season. At the end of the 2013 season, Pearce was released by the Red Bulls, but was then drafted by the expansion team Orlando City SC in the 2014 MLS Expansion Draft.
