About Henrik Lundqvist
Henrik Lundqvist is an NHL goalie who played his entire 15-year career for the New York Rangers. Originally from Sweden, Lundqvist rose to prominence while playing in various European leagues early in his career. His play resulted in him being drafted in the 2000 NHL Draft by the New York Rangers, but he would remain in Europe until making his NHL debut in 2005. In his rookie season, Lundqvist set a Rangers rookie record with 30 wins, and was a finalist for the Vezina Trophy which is awarded to the league’s best goalie. By his second season, Lundqvist had established himself as one of the top goalies in the league, and became the first goalie to ever win 30 games in each of his first seven seasons. In 2012, Lundqvist was finally awarded the Vezina Trophy. Lundqvist became the Rangers all-time wins leader and the European-born goaltender with the most wins in NHL history.
