About Horace Grant
Horace Grant is a retired NBA center who played 17 seasons for four different teams. Grant rose to prominence in college, as he was a star player for Clemson University. After four seasons at Clemson, Grant entered the 1987 NBA Draft where he was drafted tenth overall by the Chicago Bulls, and he would play seven seasons with the team. As the team’s top rebounder, Grant and the Bulls would go on to win three straight NBA titles from 1991 to 1993, but he was overshadowed by teammates Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. In 1994, Grant earned his first and only All-Star appearance, and he left the team after the season to join the Orlando Magic. Five seasons later, Grant signed with the Seattle SuperSonics, but was traded midway through the season to the Los Angeles Lakers. Grant helped the team win the 2001 championship, but he opted to not re-sign with the team and join the Orlando Magic again. Two seasons later, Grant retired after a semi successful return with the Lakers, ending his career with 12,996 points and 9,443 rebounds.
