About Ian Eagle
Ian Eagle is a sports announcer. Eagle’s announcing career began while he was a student at Syracuse University. Eagle announced football, basketball, and lacrosse for the Syracuse Orangemen on the student run radio station WAER. Upon graduating from Syracuse, Eagle began working for WFAN Radio in New York City as a producer. WFAN gave Eagle his own show in 1992 and the following year, he was given pre and postgame duties for the New York Jets. In 1994, Eagle became the Nets play-by-play radio announcer before he was a TV announcer for SportsChannel. Eagle began doing announcing work for NFL and NCAA basketball in 1998 when he joined CBS. Eagle called two games from the 2010 NBA Finals on TNT. Eagle now calls NFL games on CBS as well as Brooklyn Nets games on YES Network. Eagle also hosts Full Court Press and serves as the voice-over host of NBA Action.
