Jake Peavy

Jake Peavy, standing 6 feet tall and weighing in just under 200 pounds, is the current starting pitcher for the San Francisco Giants. While he may be previously recognized pitching for the Padres, White Sox or Red Sox, Peavy has been contributing his talent to the MLB since 2002. He was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1981 and grew up loving the game of baseball. Peavy forfeited his college scholarship opportunity at Auburn University to get his foot in the door with the Padres. He then played in the minors for several years before making it to the majors with the Padres. He soon enough became the San Diego Padres alltime strikeouts leader. Throughout the years, he has also been a two-time National League Strikeouts Champion, two-time ERA Champion, a recipient of the Cy Young Award, Pitching Triple Crown, Gold Glove Ward, three-time MLB All-Star and two-time World Series Champion. Winning both of these World Series championships with the Boston Red Sox, Peavy was traded to the Giants for the 2014 season and has extremely high expectations for what he will continue to do in the major leagues.
