Jasmine Paolini represents Italian tennis through her achievements in 2024. She was born on January 4, 1996 in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana Tuscany to parents who introduced her to tennis at age five through her father and uncle. She moved from Bagni di Lucca to Tirrenia to attend the federal college where she developed her tennis abilities before starting her professional career in 2011.
The year 2024 marked her career breakthrough when Paolini advanced to the finals of both the French Open and Wimbledon to become Italy's first female player to achieve this milestone. Her Wimbledon run established a historic milestone for Italian tennis when she became the first woman from Italy to reach the championship match while demonstrating her fighting spirit on the court.
Paolini achieved success in doubles by winning the women's doubles gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics with Sara Errani which brought Italy its first Olympic tennis gold medal.
Through her agile movements and precise gameplay Paolini has established herself as a leading figure in Italian tennis while motivating others through her dedication to the sport.
