About Jason Taylor
During Jason Taylor’s 15-year career in the NFL he was one of the most dominant defensive players in the game. At 6’6, 245 pounds he was a force to be reckoned with, accumulating 775 tackles, 46 forced fumbles and 8 interceptions over the course of his career. He played the first 11 seasons of his career with the Miami Dolphins from 1997 to 2007 and earned all six of his Pro Bowl selections as a member of Miami’s defensive squad. In 2000 he was named NFL Alumni Pass Rusher of the Year and followed that up by earning AFC Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2002 and 2006, NFL Alumni Defensive Lineman of the Year honors in 2005 and 2006 and earning the AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award in 2006. After starring for the Dolphins he played for the Washington Redskins and New York Jets between two more stints in Miami and retired in 2011 in South Beach where it all started. In addition to his long list of accolades, he was also awarded the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2007 and named to the NFL 2000’s AllDecade Team.
