About Jay Norvell
Jay Norvell is the head football coach at Colorado State University. Norvell came to Fort Collins after five seasons at Nevada, where he posted a respectable 33-26 record. He has a lengthy background in college coaching, serving as an offensive coordinator at Nebraska, UCLA and Oklahoma and as a position coach at Wisconsin, Iowa State, Texas and Arizona State. Norvell also spent six seasons in the NFL as an assistant with the Indianapolis Colts and Oakland Raiders. He got his start as a coach as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Iowa, where he was a first-team All-Big Ten selection as a player.
