About Jeff Monken
Jeff Monken is the head football coach at Army. In his third season at the helm of the Black Knights, he led them to a 7-5 record and an appearance at the Heart of Dallas bowl. They also snapped a 14-game losing streak against Navy in 2016. Prior to taking over at Army, Monken was the head coach at Georgia Southern for four years. He led the Eagles to three ten-win seasons, two Southern Conference titles and three appearances in the FCS Playoffs Semifinal. Monken got the opportunity to be a head coach after coaching running backs and special teams at Georgia Tech for two years. He has prior military academy experience, coaching for six seasons at Navy. Monken started coaching with Paul Johnson from 1997-2001 at Georgia Southern. He began a relationship with Johnson while he was a graduate assistant at Hawaii and Johnson was offensive coordinator.
