Jessica Hull

The Australian runner Jessica Hull has quickly become a top competitor in global athletics through her middle and long-distance running abilities. Jessica Hull entered the world on October 22, 1996 in Wollongong New South Wales. She started her athletic career by running cross-country during her school years. She joined the Albion Park Little Athletics Centre under the guidance of her father Simon Hull who trained as a national-level middle-distance runner and taught her about disciplined planning.

During her time at the University of Oregon Jessica Hull achieved two NCAA Division I championships in her collegiate years. After becoming a professional athlete in 2019 she joined Nike and trained under coach Pete Julian. She moved back to Australia in 2023 to train under her father's guidance which became crucial for her upcoming achievements.

Hull experienced her most successful year in 2024. She achieved a new national and Oceania record in the 1500 meters at the Paris Diamond League by running 3:50.83 to finish second behind world record holder Faith Kipyegon. She achieved a world record in the 2000 meters at Monaco when she ran 5:19.70. She became the first Australian woman to win an Olympic medal in the 1500 meters when she secured silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Hull maintains her top-tier training and competition status in 2025 while aiming to expand her international competition achievements.
