About Jim Nill
Jim Nill has been the general manager of the Dallas Stars since 2013. He has made the franchise into a perennial playoff contender. Nill started his executive career in the Ottawa Senators scouting department. He joined the Detroit Red Wings organization in 1994 and helped the organization win four Stanley Cups. Nill had a decade-long playing career in the NHL. The St. Louis Blues originally selected him in the third round of the 1978 NHL Draft. One of the highlights of Nill's career was playing for the Canadian National Team in the 1980 Olympics. Nill made his NHL debut with the Blues in 1982 and was traded to the Vancouver Canucks after the season. He also spent time with the Boston Bruins, Winnipeg Jets and Detroit Red Wings before retiring in 1991.
