About Jim Ross
Jim Ross is an institution in professional wrestling. Ross first worked as a broadcaster in local wrestling promotions during the mid-1970s. He became the head broadcaster for World Championship Wrestling. Ross was hired by the World Wrestling Federation in 1993 and made his debut at WrestleMania IX. He became the organization's main announcer during several different stints. Ross has also held executive roles within the WWE. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007. While he no longer holds a full-time role, Ross works part-time for the WWE. He is also a commentator for Fox Sports and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
