About Jimmy Butler
Jimmy Butler is a Tomball, Texas native and played his college ball at Tyler Junior College and Marquette University before joining the Chicago Bulls as a first round pick in 2011. During his three years at Marquette he averaged 12 points per game, including a career high 15.7 points per game as a senior in 2010-11. After earning All-Big East Conference honors in consecutive seasons he was selected with the 30th overall pick by the Bulls in the 2011 NBA Draft. At 6’7, 220 pounds, Butler is a long an athletic shooting guard with an uncanny ability to get to the rim. After averaging just over seven points during his first three seasons, he averaged over 20 points a game during the 2014-15 season. Butler went on to make three All-Star teams during six seasons in Chicago. He also made five postseason appearances with the Bulls before joining the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2017. Butler was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers the following season and signed with the Miami Heat during the 2019 offseason.
