About Jimmy Garoppolo
Jimmy Garoppolo is a quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams. He was drafted by the New Orleans Patriots in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft after playing college football at Eastern Illinois. As a senior in 2013, Garoppolo broke Tony Romo's school records for career passing touchdowns, yards, and passing touchdowns in a season. He also won the Walter Payton Award that season, which goes to the best offensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision.
Garoppolo got his opportunity to start in limited stints behind Tom Brady with the Patriots. When he was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 2017 is when he shined going 5-0 as a starter down the stretch. In 2019, Garoppolo threw for over 3,000 yards for the first time and lead the Niners to Super Bowl LIV. After three more years as the primary starter in San Francisco, he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2023.
