About Joe Buck
Joe Buck has won numerous Sports Emmy Awards for excellence in sports broadcast journalism during his time as a broadcaster with Fox Sports. During that time he served as a leading play-by-play man for the network’s coverage of the NFL and Major League Baseball. Buck is the son of legendary broadcaster Jack Buck and got his own start in sports broadcasting in 1989 while pursuing his undergraduate degree at Indiana University. Prior to joining Fox Sports he served as the play-by-play announcer for CBS affiliates in Missouri, covering St. Louis Cardinals minor league games and University of Missouri basketball games while also serving as a reporter for ESPN during the Triple-A All-Star game. In 1994 Fox hired Buck at the age of 25, making him the youngest man to ever serve as the lead announcer for an NFL game. Eventually, he joined the MLB on Fox team and has since broadcasted some of the most legendary regular season and postseason games and moments in history.
