About Joey Harrington
Joey Harrington joined the Detroit Tigers as a first round pick in 2002 after a stellar career as the quarterback at the University of Oregon. Harrington signed with Oregon after posting 4,200 yards of total offense and 50 career rushing and passing touchdowns at Central Catholic High School in Portland, Oregon. Upon signing with Oregon he led the Ducks to a 25-3 career record and threw for 2,415 yards and 23 touchdowns during his senior year in route to earning Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2011. He graduated from Oregon ranked third with 7,121 yards of total offense. During his six year NFL career he played for the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Atlanta Falcons before retiring with the New Orleans Saints in 2008. He retired with 14,693 career passing yards and 79 career touchdowns. After his retirement, he joined the Oregon Sports Network and Fox Sports as a football commentator and continues to contribute to the community through the Harrington Family Foundation.
