About John Elway
John Elway may have been the most physically gifted quarterback of all-time. In 16 seasons with the Denver Broncos, the Pro Football Hall of Famer went to nine Pro Bowls. Elway also retired on top, winning the last two of his five Super Bowl appearances. When he retired in 1999, no quarterback had won more games. Elway went to his first Super Bowl in 1987 by orchestrating “The Drive” against the Cleveland Browns in the AFC Championship. That following season, he was named NFL MVP. In the final game of his career, Elway would throw for 336 yards and be named MVP of Super Bowl XXXIII. For his storied college career at Stanford, he is also inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Elway was a consensus All-American and Pac-10 Player of the Year in 1982. As the number one pick of the 1983 NFL Draft, he led the greatest class of quarterbacks in Draft history. Elway was also a talented baseball player and a former second round pick of the New York Yankees. He is currently the executive vice president of football operations in Denver.
