About John Henson
John Henson is a imposing post player for the Detroit Pistons. Henson spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks. He had a breakout second season in 2013-14. While still being utilized as a reserve, his minutes shot up and he averaged over 11 points and seven rebounds per game. His 7’6” wingspan makes him one of the most imposing rim defenders and shot blockers in the NBA today. The Bucks drafted Henson out of North Carolina with the 14th overall pick in 2012. He won ACC Defensive Player of the Year in each of his last two seasons for the Tar Heels. Henson made first-team All-ACC as a junior and was a second-team pick as a sophomore. The Greensboro, North Carolina native was as a highly sought high school recruit. Henson was a Parade All-American and participated in the McDonald’s High School All-American Game.
