About Johnny Hekker
Johnny Hekker is the punter for the Carolina Panthers. Hekker first became a standout as a four-year starter at Oregon State. He finished ranked third in school history with a 41.3 yards per punt average. Hekker was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Rams in 2012 and quickly developed into one of the NFL's best punters. In 2013, he was selected to his first Pro Bowl and was named a first-team All-Pro. That season, Hekker set an NFL single-season record for net punt yards. He was named a second-team All-Pro in 2014 and signed the largest contract ever handed out to a punter after the season. I
In 2015, Hekker once again led the league in net punting average. He was named a Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro for the second time. Hekker repeated those honors in 2016 and topped his net punting average record. He was selected to his third straight Pro Bowl in 2017. Hekker won Super Bowl LVI with the Rams in 2022 and signed with the Panthers that offseason.
