About Johnny Robinson
Johnny Robinson was one of the Kansas City Chiefs early stars. Robinson was originally selected in the first round of the 1960 AFL Draft by the Dallas Texans and moved with the franchise when they came to Kansas City. He was a six-time AFL All-Star and five-time first-team All-AFL selection. Robinson led the AFL in interceptions in 1966. When the league merged with the NFL, he again led the way with ten interceptions in 1970. Robinson was a member of three AFL championship teams. In Super Bowl IV, he recovered a fumble and grabbed an interception in a win over the Minnesota Vikings. Robinson was the winningest player in AFL history and is a member of the league's all-time team. He is also immortalized in the Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Prior to joining the professional ranks, he played at LSU and was a member of their 1958 national championship team.
