The NFL features Jonathan Jones as an expert football cornerback. He demonstrated impressive athletic abilities during his childhood while showing excellence in both football and track & field competitions. The three-state championship titles he won in the 110-meter hurdles and long jump during high school earned him Georgia Gatorade Track Athlete of the Year recognition. During his high school football career he helped his team win a state title while maintaining a 3.8 GPA and dedicating time to local youth track clubs and soup kitchen volunteer work.

In 2019, he established the Jonathan Jones Next Step Foundation to support young people through educational opportunities combined with professional development and mentorship. His community service work received multiple honors when he received the Ron Burton Community Service Award in 2023 followed by the Ed Block Courage Award in 2024. He received a Walter Payton Man of the Year nomination during the 2023 season.
