About Jordan Binnington
Jordan Binnington is a star goalkeeper for the St. Louis Blues. Binnington's road to becoming a Stanley Cup champion is truly remarkable. The Blues originally made him a third-round pick in 2011, but he bounced around the minor leagues, only getting a brief call-up in 2014. Binnington entered the 2018-19 season as St. Louis' fourth-string goalie, but was called up by the club in December and quickly became their starter. He was one of the key leaders that propelled St. Louis rise from the bottom of the NHL standings to postseason contenders. Binnington was named NHL Rookie of the Month in February and March. He finished his rookie campaign with a 24-5 record and a 1.89 goals against average. Binnington went on to become the only rookie goalie to win 16 games during the postseason. In Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, he held the Boston Bruins to just one goal as the Blues won their first title in team history.
