About Josh Bynes
Josh Bynes grew up in the sunshine state, but took his talents to Auburn University after a standout prep career at Anderson High School. During his career at Auburn he earned second team All-SEC honors in 2010 and helped his team to an SEC Championship and BCS National Championship in 2011. During that time he served as the defensive leader and was one of the top linebackers in the highly competitive Southeastern Conference. In 2011 he was not selected in the NFL Draft, but stayed determined and worked his way into a spot on the Baltimore Ravens roster. During his second season in the NFL he became a reliable linebacker for the Ravens and helped them to an AFC title and a win in Super Bowl XLVII. During the Super Bowl he recorded the game sealing tackle to secure a Ravens victory. The following season he recorded a career high 45 tackles and earned a one-year contract with $570,000. In 2014 he signed with the Detroit Lions, where he continues to establish a respected reputation in their defensive backfield.
