About Juan Pierre
Juan Pierre played 14 seasons in the major leagues with the Colorado Rockies, Florida Marlins, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, and Philadelphia Phillies from 2000 to 2013. During that time he was one of the most prolific base stealers in the league, leading the MLB in stolen bases in 2001, 2003 and 2010 and retiring with 610 career stolen bases. While playing for the Marlins in 2003 he helped his team to a World Series title, hitting .305 with a league leading 65 stolen bases to go along with 100 runs scored. The following year he hit .326 and led the league with 221 hits, 12 triples and scored 100 runs for a second consecutive season. In 2009 he was honored with the Roy Campanella Award for his spirit and leadership on the field, in the locker room and in the community. He retired in 2013 with a .295 career batting average, 1,075 runs scored and 2,217 career hits in 1,994 career games.
