About Julian de Guzman

Julian de Guzman was a midfielder from Ontario, Canada who captained Canadian National Soccer Team. Prior to turning pro he starred at Blessed Cardinal Newman Catholic School and North Scarborough SC in Toronto from 1994 to 1997 and Olympique Marseille in France from 1997 to 2000. In 2001 he turned pro and began playing for FC Saarbrucken in Germany and then saw time with Hannover 96 from 2002 to 2005. Since that time he has played for Deportivo La Coruna from 2005 to 2009, Toronto FC from 2009 to 2012, FC Dallas, and Jahn Regensburg before landing with Skoda Xanthi in 2013. Guzman’s international career has included competition in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and FIFA World Cup.
