About Julian Edelman
Julian Edelman had a remarkable journey on the way to becoming one of the most productive players in NFL postseason history. In 2009, he was selected in the 7th round of the NFL Draft by the New England Patriots out of Kent State University. Prior to heading to Kent State he led the Woodside High School Wildcats to a 13-0 record and a California State Championship as a senior. At Kent State Edelman played quarterback and showcased his athleticism at the position during his senior year, throwing for 1,820 yards and 13 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,370 yards and 13 more touchdowns. After an impressive performance at his pro day, where he posted the fastest short shuttle time in the country amongst draft-eligible players, the New England Patriots selected him. Edelman became one of Tom Brady's favorite targets and won three Super Bowls with the Patriots. He ranks second all-time in receiving yards and receptions in the NFL Playoffs. Edelman was also named MVP of Super Bowl LIII. He collected nearly 7,000 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns in his career, all with New England, before retiring after the 2020 season.
