About Kellen Clemens
Kellen Clemens had a successful NFL career as a backup quarterback and occasional starter. The New York Jets originally selected Clemens in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft and he made relief appearances for quarterbacks Chad Pennington, Brett Favre, and Mark Sanchez. His biggest stretch of play came in 2013 once Sam Bradford went down for the St. Louis Rams. Clemens responded, throwing for 1,673 yards with eight touchdowns as the Rams went 4-5. In college, he was part of a long string of successful Oregon quarterbacks and threw for 7,555 yards in his Ducks career. Clemens is as close to a modern-day cowboy as it gets, growing up as a sixth-generation cattle rancher and still going horseback riding in his spare time. He is a devout Catholic and is a member of the Catholic Athletes for Christ.
