About Kellie Wells
Kellie Wells is an Olympic hurdler for Team USA. Wells won the bronze in the 100 meter hurdles at the 2012 Olympics. She had to bounce back from a devastating hamstring tear suffered during the 2008 Olympic Trials that kept her from participating in the Games. In the lead-up to London, Wells was the USA Track and field Indoor and Outdoor champion in 2011. That season, she tied Jackie Joyner-Kersee’s U.S. record in the 55 meter hurdles. Wells also posted the third fastest time ever for an American in the 60 m hurdles. She was a four-time NCAA All-American at Hampton University. The Lady Pirates won four Indoor, four Outdoor, and two Cross Country Championships while she was there. Wells originally started participating in track and field when she was six years old in Richmond, Virginia.
