About Ken Singleton
Ken Singleton had a distinguished 15 year baseball career, but now he is equally known for his excellence in the broadcast booth. Singleton originally joined the New York Yankees’ broadcast team in 1997 and now works as an analyst on the games for the YES Network. As a player, he was a three-time All-Star and played the majority of his career with the Baltimore Orioles. Singleton finished with over 2,000 hits and placed second in the 1979 MVP race after hitting .328 with 35 home runs and 111 RBI. In 1982, he won the Roberto Clemente Award due to his tremendous sportsmanship. Singleton got a World Series championship as well with the Orioles in his second to last big league season. The New York Mets originally selected him out of Hofstra with the third overall pick of the 1967 MLB Draft. Singleton played two seasons with the Mets and then three more with the Montreal Expos before heading to Baltimore.
