About Kris Dunn
Kris Dunn is a point guard for the Atlanta Hawks. Prior to signing with Atlanta, Dunn spent three seasons with the Chicago Bulls. The Minnesota Timberwolves originally made Kris Dunn the fifth overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. That high selection came on the heels of him turning inone of the best careers in Providence basketball history. After an injury riddled first two seasons for the Friars, Dunn would make his impact known on the college basketball world. He won back-to-back Big East Player of the Year and Big East Defensive Player of the Year honors. Dunn was also a two-time first-team All-Big East pick and got consensus second-team All-American honors in 2016. In his final collegiate campaign, he averaged 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. Providence was a nine seed in the 2016 NCAA Tournament and defeated USC in the opening round before ultimately falling to eventual national runner-up North Carolina. Coming out of New London High School in 2012, Dunn was considered the top prep player in Connecticut.
