Laveranues Coles

Laveranues Cole is a former professional football wide receiver who played 11 seasons with the NFL. Cole attended Florida State University where he played football. The New York Jets selected Cole in the third round at the 2000 NFL Draft. His first career touchdown catch was on October 23, 2000 during the Jets’ “Monday Night Miracle” game. Cole signed with the Washington Redskins during the 2002 offseason. He made the Pro Bowl for the Redskins in 2003. Cole left the Redskins in 2005 due to a lack of a deep passing game. The Jets resigned Cole in 2005 where he had a disappointing season. The Jets released Cole on February 25, 2009. The Cincinnati Bengals signed Cole on March 4, 2009 for a four-year, $28 million contract. The Bengals released him exactly one year after signing with the organization. On July 30, 2010, the Jets signed Cole for a third time. He was then released a month later. He was signed by the Jets again on December 4, 2010.
