About Lindsay Davenport
Lindsay Davenport was one of the most dominant tennis players of her era. She was ranked number one in the world on eight different occasions and finished the year in the top spot four times. She spent 98 weeks during her career as the top ranked player in the world. Davenport also was at one point the top-ranked doubles player in the world. She won three Grand Slam singles titles, one each at the Australian Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open. A few other highlights included winning the WTA Championships and the 1996 Olympic gold medal. Davenport was almost equally as successful in doubles, winning 38 WTA championships and three Grand Slams. In 2014, she was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
