About Lomas Brown
Lomas Brown enjoyed a long and successful career in the National Football League as an offensive lineman with the Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1985 to 2002. Brown joined the Lions as a first round selection in the 1985 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida. Prior to heading to Gainesville he had an epic career at Miami Springs High School, which would eventually earn him a spot on the Florida High School football All-Century Team. At the University of Florida he earned first team All-SEC and Consensus All-American honors in 1984 and was presented the Jacobs Blocking Trophy that same season as the nation’s top offensive lineman. In 1995 the Gators honored his career by inducting him into the University of Florida Athletic Hall of Fame. During his 17-year NFL career he earned seven trips to the Pro Bowl and six NFL All-Pro honors while also leading the Bucs to a Super Bowl title in 2002. Since his retirement he has served as a football analyst at ESPN and also worked at the NFL Network and ESPNEWS.
