About Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is a middle infielder for the Arizona Diamondbacks and one of the biggest stars in baseball. Gurriel originally made his major league debut with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2018. He became the first rookie since Shoeless Joe Jackson to have ten consecutive multi-hit games. The Blue Jays originally signed Gurriel out of Cuba in 2016. He played several seasons in the Cuban National Series before defecting. His brother, Yuli, also plays in the major leagues and the two made history in 2018 becoming the first brothers to hit two home runs on the same day.
