Luka Modric

Luka Modrić stands as a legendary central midfielder who holds the position of one of the most exceptional playmakers in football history. The Croatian War of Independence forced him to survive before he started his career at Dinamo Zagreb and eventually joined Tottenham Hotspur before Real Madrid acquired him in 2012.

Modrić established himself as a key player at Madrid where he obtained 28 major titles including six UEFA Champions League trophies and four La Liga championships. The Ballon d’Or award in 2018 went to Modrić because he became the first player since 2008 who did not receive the honor from Messi or Ronaldo.
