About Madison Bumgarner
Madison Bumgarner was one of the most dominant pitchers of his era and a four-time All-Star. Bumgarner made his name as the ace of the San Francisco Giants and hero of the 2014 World Series. Bumgarner was named MVP of both the NLCS and the World Series, throwing 52 2/3 innings total postseason innings. The three-time World Series champion’s 0.25 ERA in the Fall Classic is the lowest ever for pitchers who have thrown at least 25 innings. For his amazing 2014 playoff feats, Bumgarner was named the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year and AP Athlete of the Year. During the regular season, the two-time All-Star had already gone 18-10 with a 2.98 ERA and a Giants lefty record of 219 strikeouts. Bumgarner was also selected to four straight All-Star teams from 2013-16. San Francisco originally selected Bumgarner with the tenth overall pick in the 2007 MLB Draft and he would debut in the majors two years later.
