About Marco Sturm
Marco Sturm has a 14 season NHL career and was a 1999 All-Star. Sturm scored over 20 goals and had over 40 points eight times in his career. A standout with the San Jose Sharks to start his career, he was traded in 2005 to the Boston Bruins in a package for star Joe Thornton. One career highlight came for the Bruins during the 2010 Winter Classic. Sturm scored the game-winning goal in overtime against the Flyers at Fenway Park. Sturm last played in the league for the Florida Panthers during the 2011-12 season. Originally, the Sharks selected him 21st overall in 1996. He started and ended his pro hockey career in Germany. Sturm was a longtime competitor for Germany, playing in four World Championships and two Olympics.
