Marcus Spears

Now known as one of college football’s most entertaining analysts, Marcus Spears had a successful NFL career after starring at LSU.  Spears had a eight year pro career spent mostly with the Dallas Cowboys before a final season with the Baltimore Ravens.  He was used as a starter and a situational reserve throughout his time in Dallas.  At LSU, Spears became one of the best players to ever step on campus.  He was a two-time first-team All-SEC pick and a first-team All-American his senior year.  In his junior campaign, LSU won the BCS National Championship.  The Tigers initially recruited him as a tight end, but he was quickly moved to defensive line upon arrival in Baton Rouge.   Spears now serves as an analyst on the SEC Network.  He joins Joe Tessitore, Paul Finebaum, and Tim Tebow each Saturday in the fall on the channel’s roving gameday preview show, SEC Nation.
