About Mario Williams
Mario Jerrel Williams is a professional football player for the National Football League. Born in North Carolina in 1985, Williams was engaged with athletics at a very young age. In fact, he was so dedicated to his dream of playing professional football that he put himself on a fast track to graduate high school early. Williams then went on to North Carolina State University and played for the Wolfpack for three years before being drafted in the 2006 NFL Draft as first overall pick for the Houston Texans. Playing with the Texans for five years, Williams went to the Pro Bowl twice, in 2008 and 2009, and made Second-team All-Pro in 2007. He also received NFL Alumni Defensive Lineman of the Year in 2007. After being traded to the Buffalo Bills in 2012, Williams plays defensive end for them. He received AFC Defensive Player of the Month in November of 2012 and holds the Bills’ record for most sacks in a game. In addition, Williams was honorably named NFL Top 100 Players of 2013 and continues to do great things for the Bills.
