About Matt Stover
Matt Stover is a professional placekicker in the NFL. Stover attended Louisiana Tech University where he successfully completed 64 of 88 field goal attempts. Stover holds the NCAA record for most punts in a single game at 16. The New York Giants selected Stover in the 12th round as the 329th overall pick in the 1990 NFL Draft. Stover was on the injured reserve list his entire rookie season including during the Super Bowl XXV. In 1991, Stover signed with the Cleveland Browns and spent 5 seasons with them. Stover signed with the Baltimore Ravens in 1996 and he remained there until 2008. With the Ravens, Stover won Super Bowl XXXV. Stover was inducted into the Ravens Ring of Honor on November 20, 2011. Stover signed with the Indianapolis Colts in the middle of the 2009 NFL season. He retired from football on May 25, 2011 with the Baltimore Ravens.
