About Maurice Clarett
Maurice Clarett is a former star running back who is now committed to helping others as a motivational speaker. Clarett attended Warren G. Harding High School where he received national attention. After graduating from high school, Clarett was ranked in the top 100 players nationally. After being an All-American in 2002, Clarett committed to Ohio State University to play. During his time at Ohio State, Clarett led the Buckeyes to an undefeated season and the 2002 BCS National Championship title. Clarett was suspended from Ohio State for the 2003 season as he had several troubling incidents. Ohio State dismissed Clarett from their team and school. The Denver Broncos unexpectedly selected Clarett in the 3rd round as the 101st overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft. Clarett was released on waivers on August 28, 2005. The Omaha Nighthawks signed Clarett on August 30, 2010. Clarett played two seasons in the UFL before it was suspended in 2012.
