About Meryl Davis
Meryl Davis is a three-time Olympic medalist, four-time World Championships medalist, five-time Four Continents Championships medalist, six-time Grand Prix Final medalist, and eight-tine United States National Championships medalist. Davis began skating when she was five years old on a local lake during the winter. She was originally a single skater, but when she was eight years old she began doing ice dance. Davis was teamed up with Charlie White in 1997 by her coach. In their first season together they won the silver medal in the Junior Olympics in the Juvenile division. In the 2003-04 season, Davis and White placed 13th in the 2004 Junior Worlds. Together they made their debut internationally and nationally in the 2006- 07 season and they placed 4th at the 2006-07 ISU Grand Prix. On March 4, 2014, Davis was announced as one of the contestants on Dancing with the Stars and she was paired with Maksim Chmerkovisky. On May 20, 2014, Davis and Chmerkovisky were declared the season’s champions.
