Miguel Cotto

Miguel Cotto was one of the best boxers of his generation. Cotto won world titles in four weight classes, the first Puerto Rican to do so. He competed professionally from 2001-2017 and won his first belt, the WBO light welterweight title in 2004. Cotto made six successful title defensive and then moved up in weight, winning the vacant WBA welterweight championship in 2006. He lost his first career fight in 2008, but rebounded to capture the WBO welterweight title a year later. In 2010, Cotto move up in classes again and won the WBA light middleweight belt. He would score a championship in his fourth different weight class in 2014 when he won the unified WBC, Ring and lineal middleweight title.

Cotto made a 2017 comeback to become champion once again, winning the WBO light middleweight title for a second time. Overall, he faced some of the best fighters of his generation, scoring wins over the likes of Zab Judah, Shane Mosely and Antonio Margarito. Cotto also lost highly-publicized pay-per-view fights to Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez. He retired with 41 wins and six losses, with 33 of his victories coming by knockout.
