About Mikal Bridges
Mikal Bridges is a standout performer for the New York Knicks. Bridges became a reliable two-way player during his first six years in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets. He had somewhat of a breakout 2020-21 season, averaging 13.5 points and helping the Phoenix Suns make the NBA Finals.
Bridges was originally selected with the tenth pick in the 2018 NBA Draft after becoming one of the greatest players in Villanova University history. Bridges won NCAA championships as a freshman and junior. He evolved into one of the best defensive players and top three-point shooters during his college career.
Bridges was a key bench contributor in his first season and was a starter for the Wildcats team that won the 2017Big East title. He really broke out as a junior to average 17.7 points and be named a third-team All-American. Bridges was also a first-team All-Big East pick. He scored 28 points in the Big East Tournament championship game and was named Tournament MVP. Bridges was also the recipient of the Julius Erving Award as the nation's top small forward in 2018.
