About Mike Rozier
Mike Rozier is a Camden, New Jersey native, and played his college football as a running back at the University of Nebraska. Rozier joined the Corn Huskers after playing his freshman season at Coffeyville Junior College and leading his team to an undefeated 9-0 record while rushing for 1,157 yards. During his first year at Nebraska he rushed for 943 yards and then exploded for 1,689 yards as a junior with 15 touchdowns. His senior year however, was one for the record books. After rushing for 2,148 yards and a national leading 29 touchdowns he earned All-American Honors and the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 1983. Rozier was a first round selection in the 1984 NFL Draft and played in the USFL for two seasons before heading to the NFL with the Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons from 1985 to 1991. During his NFL career he earned Second Team All-AFC honors in 1987 and Pro Bowl selections in consecutive seasons in 1987 and 1988.
