About Morten Andersen
Morten Andersen is a retired National Football League player. After playing just one season in high school, he was so impressive that he earned a scholarship which took him to Michigan State University to play at the collegiate level. While in school he set records including kicking a Big Ten Conference record 63 yard field goal against Ohio State University. His next step was to move on to the NFL, as he became the 86th overall selection in the 1982 draft. While his career got off to a rocky start, Morten has gone on to become a historic player by playing in a record 382 games, and by being the leagues all time leading scorer. Among other awards, Andersen has been selected to 7 Pro Bowls, been a 6 time All-Pro, won the PFW Golden Toe Award twice, and aided the Atlanta Falcons in winning the NFC Championship in 1998.
