About Nate Bjorkgren
Nate Bjorkgren is the former head coach of the Indiana Pacers. Bjorkgren gained a sterling reputation during two seasons as Nick Nurse's lead assistant with the Toronto Raptors, including a run to the NBA championship in 2019. He also spent two seasons as an assistant with the Phoenix Suns. Bjorkgren originally got into pro basketball as an assistant under Nurse with the NBA G-League's Iowa Energy. He won a league title with the Energy in 2011 and went on to head coaching stints with the Dakota Wizards, back with the Energy and also with the Bakersfield Jam. Bjorkgren started his coaching career on the high school level after playing college basketball at the University of South Dakota and Buena Vista University.
