About Nate Boyer

Nate Boyer has charted a unique road to a football career as a former U.S. Army Green Beret. After high school he originally pursued an acting career before heading to the Sudan in 2004 to serve as a relief worker.  Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.  He became a Green Beret and served several tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq.  After six years, he was honorably discharged.  Boyer then pursued a football career as a walk-on at the University of Texas.  He became the Longhorns long snapper and played in 38 straight games.  Over his tenure, Boyer earned numerous All-Big 12 and All-American academic honors.  After his college career ended, he received an opportunity to play in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks.
